Since there is much to cover up on Bill’s left arm, we spent hours strategizing on placement and which elements to use—drawing, wiping off with alcohol and drawing again. Flowers are going to be the main theme and will be incorporated from wrist to shoulder. In the end we decided to start with the easy areas to outline the places where a few big pieces are going to go.

We finished the night outlining with a fourteen round that spans from wrist to elbow along the back of the arm and some shading that has already covered one of his existing tattoos. There is still a lot of organization and planning to do. Photo-taking, illustrating around existing tattoos, erasing, planning, re-illustrating… but it’s a start. I’ll make sure to post the progress from the sittings here.
