Internet Explorer for Windows

Yes, I am aware that there is a problem in viewing this site with Internet Explorer for Windows. Yes, I am working to correct the situation. I would, however, like to point out that this site renders correctly in every other browser I have viewed it in—including the crappy WAP browser on my phone.

Internet Explorer has been around for what? Almost ten years? You think they would have figured some shit out by now.

Now I will get back to jumping through hoops trying to figure out exactly what little CSS nuance it isn’t understanding and try to make it all better.

Update: The problem is somewhat fixed, though it lacks the precision that I was hoping for. So this is it—like it or don’t—stripped back down to something resembling what it used to be.

Extending Your Wireless Mac Networks Range

My first generation (Graphite) Airport BaseStation has issues with the particular way I host my website. To get around this, I just used the iMac itself as the BaseStation by sharing its Internet connection with the rest of my computers via its Airport Extreme card. One of the major caveats of doing this is that the signal is much weaker than the one broadcast by the real Airport BaseStation. The second story of my apartment would get a signal in the room at the top of the stairs but the bedroom furthest away was dead.

Using the eMac in the room with the signal, I enabled Internet sharing via its Ethernet port and plugged the Airport BaseStation into that. Now the signal is being relayed throughout the entire house.

Other than clicking a checkbox in the Sharing pane, there was absolutely no additional configuring that took place. If you think something is possible, it probably is.

I love my Macs.
