AAC vs. MP3: A Recommendation

I recently switched from ripping CDs as MP3 files to the new AAC file type that Apple is dispensing from the Apple Music Store. All of our music is shared between three Macs and two iPods so there was nothing to lose in making the switch. I believe you get a higher quality sound at a lower bitrate meaning file sizes stay smaller. If you have a Mac and you are using iTunes to import your music CDs I highly recommend that you change your import settings as well. You won’t regret it.

Sketch of the oracle

A quote (and a sketch) from yesterday’s meeting with our resident Caribbean voodoo priest:

“I could do it… but it’s gonna be a bastid, mon.”

Creep Like A Phantom

Treed iguana

Tonight’s installment: Nine photos of the baby monster outside my door.

You will just have to forgive the quality, I grabbed the first available device which happened to be the Sony HandyCam on the table.

Addendum: Yes, I really did take that outside of my apartment. That particular reptile looked to be about two feet long and there is one in the same tree I have seen on numerous occasions that happens to be approximately four or five feet long. That is why I referred to this one as the baby monster. They are all over the place and I love to watch their slow-stomp, monster crawl when they come out of the tree and walk down to the lake for a drink. Big green dragons abound!
